Nelnet is a diversified company that offers a contract role for a Mid-Level.NET Developer to modernize a Unemployment Insurance Employer Portal. The position involves converting legacy.NET Framework 4.8 to.NET 10 using Blazor or MVC, and collaborating with senior developers and team members to deliver secure, accessible, and scalable web applications.

Requirements

2-4 years of experience in.NET development, including recent work with.NET 6/7/8/10
Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET MVC and/or Blazor
Familiarity with legacy system modernization and VB.NET Web Forms
Experience with JavaScript and HTML/CSS
Exposure to WCF services and GitHub Enterprise
Understanding of accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG 2.1 AA)
Basic knowledge of DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices
