POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Billing Systems and Revenue Analytics leads a team dedicated to executing Natera’s insurance billing configuration and automation strategies. This highly important function will be leading our efforts in providing operational direction and technical expertise necessary to execute on all reimbursement related functions, while overseeing the production and providing guidance to a team of Billing System Configuration Analysts.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a team of analysts (both associate and senior) within the Insurance Billing Configuration dept.
  • Provide leadership and SME cross functionally within the broader Rev Cycle teams.
  • All administrative functions of running the team, scheduling, training, support, coaching, mentoring and ensuring deliverables against the objectives.
  • Manage functions that drive accounts receivable and cash collection activities, identify trends, opportunities and risk for resolution.
  • Implement appropriate technology solutions to support continued improved cash collection performance.
  • Manage projects and initiatives for improved reimbursement and reporting on actual performance against these targets; continue to monitor performance for process control.
  • Promote positive motivation and morale within the department, team building and individual development of staff.
  • Work with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Billing, Market Access, Product and Marketing to discover value from data that results in improvements to our business.
  • Present data with customizable dashboards, visualizations and reports.
  • Develop and execute the analytical framework.
  • Utilize all available analytical resources throughout the organization to ensure a 360-degree view of the revenue cycle is incorporated into analytical work, to support a culture of collaboration across the organization, and to share key learnings/insights to help others ideate new opportunities.
  • Meets established deadlines timely, accurately, and with a sense of urgency.
  • This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and has access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job.
  • Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.
  • Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in data analytics, information systems, health sciences, health insurance or healthcare billing.
  • Significant knowledge of, and experience with, healthcare service provider revenue cycle.
  • Genetic testing or laboratory diagnostic experience, a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of Google Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and software applications.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, related field, or equivalent required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • The role will require interaction with a wide range of fellow employees, senior leaders, as well as external auditors and experts, so a high standard of discipline and professionalism is required.
  • Ability to think creatively and initiate new ideas or solutions to business issues.
  • Independence of thought and sound judgment relating to business needs.
  • Demonstrated commitment, self & team motivation, and drive.
  • Act as an agent of change, positive influence, while maintaining appropriate level of independence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-past, competing deadline driven environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with quantitative software programs (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets).
  • Excellent SQL skills with experience in writing complex queries.
  • Experiences in Snowflake preferred.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Ability to define problems, collect and reconcile data, validate data against source information.
  • Experience in Python statistical programming preferred.
  • Motivated, shows initiative, and ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to sell the business reason for the change.

  • Demonstrate a focus on listening to and understanding client/customer needs and then delighting the client/customer by exceeding service and quality expectations.
The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.Remote USA$105,400—$131,800 USD
