Job Description :
Reporting to the Energy and Utilities Practice Head, the Executive Business Development consultant will head the company’s efforts in generating revenue by selling services to potential customers in Power Utilities space. Within this context the BD consultant will:
- Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered.
- Prepare professional, complete, concise, and accurate reports, proposals, value propositions, decks, and other documentation as required for executive-level presentations and customers.
- Create sales strategy to develop opportunities and generate leads North American market with support from relevant marketing teams.
- Achieve revenue growth goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, including negotiating, and closing legal agreements and utilizing product demos and presentations.
- Experiment with and implement relevant tools; metrics; campaigns; and work cross-functionally with the marketing team, sales team, business unit teams, and other functions.
Following are the must-have skills that are required for this role:
- 12-15 years of proven track record in business development and sales of digital solutions, products, and services to Power Utilities in the US.
- A strong network within Power Utilities in the US, and a strong background of the domain; should be aware of the current trends, technologies, solutions like Cloud, wearables, IoT, smart grid, smart meters, forecasting, meter data management, billing and customer service etc.
- Experience in managing client relationships for key accounts (more than 5 MN USD) for growth and retention.
- Good understanding of the products and solutions that focus on the E&U market space
- Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting
