Job Overview:
The Bookkeeper is a key part of our accounting department and works on multiple tasks with deadlines. We are seeking trustworthy candidates who work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy. This position offers opportunities to work cross-functionally across accounting, payables, billing and payroll. Candidates should possess strong computer and verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- General ledger accounting: Balance sheet account reconciliations and monthly journal entries.
- Daily Bank Reconciliation.
- Detailed analysis of billing and payroll for various reporting requirements.
- Processing of accounts payable: entering invoices and verifying records.
- Special projects as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Accounting degree with 4+ years of work experience.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Highly self-motivated, with problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including Vlookup formulas and pivot tables.
- Experience with mid to large ERP/ Accounting program (e.g., Great Plains, Sage, Oracle) is preferred.
