Senior Backend Engineer - Stablecoin Infrastructure
Location: Remote - Based in EST timezone
Compensation: $175K - $225K

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to accelerate the delivery of both critical internal tooling and high-impact customer-facing products. You will join a small, high-performance team that applies the discipline of high-performance finance to a fast-moving, crypto-native startup environment.
In this role, you will:
- Design, build, and operate backend services with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and developer experience.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, taking ownership of critical systems across the platform.
- Shape technical standards and ensure operational excellence for our core services.
- Work within a modern stack that includes TypeScript, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Contribute to a tight-knit team that values clear thinking, extreme ownership, and high-velocity decision-making.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of backend service development experience, with 3+ years working specifically in TypeScript/Node.js.
- Data Fluency: Fluency with relational databases and SQL.
- Production Reliability: Proven ability to ship production systems with high uptime and minimal maintenance burden.
- Code Standards: Strong commitment to clean code principles and comprehensive automated testing.
- APIs: Deep understanding of API design, versioning, documentation, and modern authentication patterns.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating in remote, asynchronous teams.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments.
- Familiarity with performance profiling, latency reduction, and service-level adherence.
- Background in designing and operating event-driven architectures.
- Expertise with core infrastructure tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Experience integrating or interacting with blockchain node software (e.g., geth, Solana validators).
- Passion for building internal tools that improve developer productivity and operational efficiency.
