Overview
The Junior AR Analyst will control the full lifecycle of a program’s cost, procurement and customer billing for a government contracted program. Responsible for purchasing materials, equipment, and supplies pricing from distributors and OEMs to include gathering quotes in support of project pricing requirements. Provide insight, analysis, and leadership for the supply chain management team to ensure successful fulfillment of materials and components between OEMs and end customer. The position requires a strong combination of strategic thinking and tactical day-to-day problem-solving as well as a high proficiency with data, detail, and cross-functional communication.
Responsibilities
- Create monthly customer invoices with appropriate tracking and required support documentation per Federal Government requirements.
- Monitor AR aging requirements to ensure timely customer invoice payments.
- Prepare billing reconciliations and analyses as needed.
- Lead billing meetings with internal and external customers.
- Interact with functional departments to resolve billing issues.
- Prepare internal and external financial reports, cost management, variance to plan and invoice management.
- Interface with program managers, internal departments, and external customers to address issues in an effective manner.
- Research, analyze and evaluate sources of supply and material procurement per government FAR regulations.
- Secure quotes to support purchasing decisions, and process resulting purchase requests.
- Develop sourcing strategies for assigned commodities which align to business requirements, industry, and supplier capabilities.
- Contact suppliers to follow up on purchase orders, compare and analyze suppliers for price reasonableness and performance.
- Track vendors spend by CLIN and Purchase Order.
- Support program pricing requirements and customer approval submissions.
- Assist in deobligating of funds on completed projects.
- Knowledge of Business Central (previously Navision or NAV)
Qualifications
- The individual in this role must be highly organized and self-motivated.
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-task environment – a proven self-starter with the ability to prioritize short timeline tasks and meet deadlines.
- Able to read and understand Bills of Material, and Purchasing Technical Specifications
- Experience with Government Contracting a plus.
- GSA Assist and WAWF experience a plus.
- Excellent data analytical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Rigorous attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree is required and preferred in the related areas: Business Administration, Supply Chain or Finance
