Metropolitan Ministries

Metropolitan Ministries is a volunteer and donor-fueled nonprofit organization dedicated to helping homeless and at-risk individuals and families in the Tampa Bay area, including Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk, and Pasco counties. Established in 1972, the organization has made significant strides in alleviating suffering, promoting dignity, and instilling self-sufficiency among those it serves. The mission of Metropolitan Ministries extends beyond provision; it embodies a comprehensive approach to community service that fosters not only immediate relief but also long-term solutions to homelessness.

The organization achieved remarkable milestones in the past year, including serving over 4 million meals and providing nearly 57,000 nights of safe shelter. Their extensive services include food assistance, residential programs, educational resources, and family support initiatives, all aimed at empowering clients to overcome obstacles and achieve self-reliance. By partnering with over 65 neighborhood organizations, Metropolitan Ministries ensures that their outreach remains expansive and effective, addressing the unique needs of families in crisis.
