We’re excited to announce a vacancy for the role of OT Security Manager.
The Operational Technology (OT) Security Manager will support the Head of Cyber security to offer guidance to the business units to understand their operating cyber threats and risks, identify mitigating actions and develop remediation plans, develop standards, define and achieve compliance to OT policy and support business as usual OT project deliveries.
So What’s the Mission Reporting to the Head of Cyber Security you will drive cyber risk assurance across our operational technology environments.
This role will provide strategic guidance, support, and oversight to ensure OT cybersecurity is aligned with business needs, group strategy, and evolving threats.
You’ll work closely with business units, suppliers, and internal teams (such as audit and risk) to strengthen our overall OT security posture, reduce duplication of effort, and ensure a consistent, holistic approach across the group.
The requirements of the role mean you must be flexible to travel across our sites/ locations as well spending time in our Elland office as and when required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading OT security thought leadership and driving the delivery of the Group OT cybersecurity strategy.
- Holding operational teams, risk owners, and suppliers accountable for meeting OT security requirements.
- Supporting the rollout of a consistent OT security assessment framework across all sites.
- Defining, collating, and reporting OT cyber risks to relevant risk and audit committees.
- Developing and overseeing an OT Cyber Risk Management Framework and security metrics.
- Advising business units on robust OT controls for manufacturing and logistics operations.
- Reviewing major incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and facilitating lessons-learned workshops.
- Monitoring global OT security trends and ensuring alignment with group policies and initiatives.
- Providing assurance over business unit OT mitigation programmes and supporting aligned risk reduction efforts.
What are the mission critical skills Essential:
- Awareness and knowledge across different security frameworks such as IEC62443, NIST for OT, COMAH.
- Experience of risk identification and business impact analysis in manufacturing and logistics environments
- Good understanding of the risks, issues and controls associated with OT systems, networks and applications that are commonly encountered within a logistics or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, including the ability to draft concise, well written and accurate incident reports to support any regulatory disclosures.
- Strong team building, motivation and communication skills to work as an effective member of the IT and BU engineering teams.
Desirable
- Background in Electro/Mechanical Engineering, controls engineering or manufacturing networks.
- Experience of project delivery processes/methodologies, delivering OT security by design.
- Knowledge of Industrial network protocols.
