We have an exciting opportunity for a Credit Collections Officer in our Credit Control Team. Working in a close-knit, motivated team, you will be reporting to the National Credit Manager and be responsible for maintaining debtors within limits of the Company’s Trading Terms policy ensuring protection of the Company’s investments, maximizing cash flow, minimizing losses, and improving recoveries of Australia debtors and improve collections in the Pacific Credit Control Team.

What can you expect?

This will involve managing debtor accounts including collections, investigation, organizing cash allocations, sending client invoices and statements, basic reconciliations, reporting and management of any minor disputes that might arise.

  • Manage debtor accounts, ensuring both the timely collection of outstanding amounts and the maintenance of outstanding debts at acceptable levels through contact with customers by telephone and email.
  • Proactive and reactive diplomatic communication with customers and internal stakeholders in achieving the desired results.
  • Proactively develop and maintain relationships with Internal and External customers and key stakeholders to support improved cash collections.
  • Producing accurate, timely reports to monitor accounts and report distribution to internal stakeholders.
  • Investigation and management of any disputes ensuring regular follow up or escalation as appropriate with internal stakeholders.
  • Review and report results against set and agreed KPIs with Manager on a regular basis, discussing and recording targets to actual performance.
  • Reduction of aged debt to minimize Potential Bad Debt exposure.
  • Maintaining and reducing DRO.

What you need to have:

  • Strong administrative, procedural, and organizational skills.
  • 2+ years’ experience with debtor’s management and analysis.
  • Ability to deal with difficult customers and build relationships at all levels.
  • High level problem-solving & strong negotiation skills.
  • Results-driven and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Continuous improvement focus.
  • Desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
