ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Buyer to join our team remotely.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate supplier options based on price, quality, and availability.
  • Assess and reviews Bills of Materials (BOM) and other complex business needs in an efficient manner. Requires in-depth knowledge and experience. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
  • Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own area and general knowledge of related areas. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrated with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate the company in the market.
  • Acts as a resource for other team members; may lead projects with limited risks and resource requirements.
  • Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies Explains complex, difficult and/or sensitive information; works to build consensus, will serve as a direct liaison with internal and external customers, ensuring effective communication and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers, and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services/supplies across the Enterprise.
  • Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers.
  • Process requisitions and update program on status of orders
  • Negotiation of Purchase Order terms and conditions
  • Prepares and administers purchase orders for goods and services enterprise wide.
  • Conduct market research and analyze competitors’ products/services.

·Prepare price analysis.

·Review quotes for accuracy

  • Keeps fully informed on all procurement processes and policies including new and amended regulations applicable to the industry.
  • Ensures that the purchase order is in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications and government regulations.
  • Interact with program personnel as well as supporting infrastructure functions such as Contracts, Subcontracts and Procurement.
  • Works independently with minimum supervision and possesses the ability to work within a team structure.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4 or more years of relevant experience in a procurement support role OR Associate's degree and 6 years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 8 or more years of experience
  • Experience within the Government Contracting industry.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and other regulatory and agency requirements and ability to appropriately flow down to lower tier suppliers
  • Knowledgeable with Excel, Microsoft word, PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

·Must have a keen attention to detail.

  • Possess a strategic mindset to include the ability to identify and articulate process improvement and efficiency recommendations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
The projected compensation range for this position is $69,000-$114,500. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
