Release Management Analyst
Introduction
Currently, we are seeking a dynamic and innovative Release Management Analyst to join our team in Reston, VA to provide unparalleled support to multiple federal agencies through the Continuous Diagnostic & Mitigation (CDM) Program. The CDM Program is a high-profile, high-visibility, cybersecurity modernization and risk management program where you can contribute innovative solutions and consult with many different federal agencies to enhance their Information Assurance (IA) programs and continuous monitoring capabilities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist Release Manager executing release activities in accordance with established Release Management procedures and processes
Develop and maintain release dashboard and release management repositories using appropriate tools, such as Jira, SharePoint and Confluence, etc.
Track and control release package creation and submission
Provide cross-team and cross-project coordination to develop and record release plans including release roadmaps/milestones and Release Train schedule
Participate and facilitate Release Readiness Review meetings and manage related artifacts
Assist with Program Increment (PI) Planning activities, including readiness and post-PI events
Ensure work products promotion and testing activities occur in accordance with the established release schedule and PI cycles
Effectively communicate with stakeholders to understand program priorities, help manage and mitigate risks
Support Operation deployment, monitor and track deployment requirements and dependencies
Promote continuous release delivery and help establish and predict release cadence
Facilitate release management process training and demo
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field, or equivalent work experience
4 – 6 years demonstrated Release and Deployment Management experience
Knowledge of Scaled Agile Software Development experience
Knowledge of IT systems management, Systems Engineering Life Cycles (SELC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Proficient with Jira/Confluence, able to develop reporting solutions
Experience with Microsoft Office (including MS Office suite, Visio, and Project)
Minimal knowledge of scripting language, ie, PowerShell/VB scripts
Must be able to effectively complete simultaneous tasks with independent deadlines and deliverables.
Effective oral and written communication skills with customer, technical, and management personnel
Must possess a self-starter mentality and an effective problem solver
Detail oriented, well organized and customer focused
Strong interpersonal and collaborations skills; be able to work in a team-oriented environment and also work independently
Ability to adhere to defined processes & procedures, and suggest improvements
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with large organization agile practices such as with SAFe/Scaled Agile Frameworks.
Certification as Scaled Agilist (SA), SAFe
Experience in Project Management
Security Clearance Requirements:
Candidate is required to be a US citizen (non-dual citizenship) with the ability to obtain DHS Suitability
Physical Requirements
Office work, typically sedentary with some movement around the office.
