MakesYouLocal helps webshops to expand and succeed abroad. Several of our clients are focusing on markets across Europe, including Latvia, which is why we are looking for new colleagues to join our Latvian team!
In this position, you will play an important part in our clients’ success in the Latvian market. Together with the team, you will help the customers with the issues they have, when shopping online.
Our new colleague should have excellent verbal and written skills in Latvian, and have a good understanding of Latvian customers' mindset, as well as first-hand knowledge of the culture.
What do we expect from our next colleague?
We are looking for people with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help customers. Experience in a relevant field such as e-commerce, customer service, retail, hospitality or similar is a plus, however, the most important thing is a willingness to learn.
Must have:
Latvian Language Mastery: You're fluent in Latvian, with impeccable language skills that reflect native-level proficiency.
Cultural Expertise: You possess a deep understanding of Latvian culture and consumer behavior, with insights that come from personal experience.
Bilingual Communication: You're adept in English, both written and spoken, enabling clear and effective communication.
Translation Ability: You can effortlessly translate content from English to Latvian, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance.
Tech-Savvy: You're comfortable with computers and eager to learn new software and tools as needed.
Team-Oriented: You thrive in a team setting, bringing a collaborative and supportive attitude to your work.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer support via phone, chat, and email, ensuring timely and effective resolution of inquiries and issues.
- Translation: Accurately translate product descriptions, advertisements, newsletters, and other e-commerce content, maintaining high standards of quality and cultural relevance.
- Social Media Monitoring: Oversee social media activities for webshops, ensuring consistent and engaging communication with customers.
- Client Feedback: Provide insightful and actionable feedback to clients, aimed at optimizing and enhancing the overall customer experience.

Position Details:
This is as part-time, remote position with an expected commitment of around 22 hours per week. Our working hours are from 16:30 to 21:00.
