The company was formed in 2021 as a result of the consolidation of several legacy solar distributed generation entities that Brookfield Renewable acquired from WGL, Constellation NewEnergy, Exelon (including PFMG Solar), and TerraForm Power. With operations spanning 32 North American markets across 29 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and Canada, Luminace manages over 1,700 projects serving more than 10,000 customers. The company offers a full suite of decarbonization solutions including solar power facilities, energy storage systems, electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, and energy efficiency upgrades and retrofits. Their asset portfolio of more than 1,500 MW of distributed energy resources has generated 1.6 million metric tons of avoided carbon emissions annually, equivalent to removing 300,000 cars from the road.
