Overview

LMI seeks a skilled Full Stack Engineer to support the development, integration, and sustainment of the U.S. Army Center for Initial Military Training’s (CIMT) Holistic Health & Fitness Management System. This position is part of a lean Agile technical team supporting cloud hosting, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, data engineering, and the development of a user interface (UI) that provides secure access to the vendor-developed H2F application.

The Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for designing and building web-based UI components, APIs, middleware services, and integration features that connect the H2F application to Army enterprise systems, additional applications, and data sources. This role requires strong front-end and back-end engineering skills, user-centered design collaboration, and experience working in secure cloud environments.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with experience building production-grade software in modern frameworks, supporting UCD workflows, and implementing secure coding practices within DoW environments.

LMI is a new breed of digital solutions provider dedicated to accelerating government impact with innovation and speed. Investing in technology and prototypes ahead of need, LMI brings commercial-grade platforms and mission-ready software to federal agencies at commercial speed.

Leveraging our mission-ready technology and solutions, proven expertise in federal deployment, and strategic relationships, we enhance outcomes for the government, efficiently and effectively. With a focus on agility and collaboration, LMI serves the defense, space, healthcare, and energy sectors—helping agencies navigate complexity and outpace change. Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.

Responsibilities

  • Develop web-based UI components that provide access to the H2F application.
  • Implement responsive, accessible, and intuitive interfaces aligned with User-Centered Design (UCD) principles.
  • Convert wireframes, prototypes, and user feedback into high-quality production interfaces.
  • Ensure compliance with Army security, accessibility (508), and usability requirements.
  • Develop server-side logic, APIs, and integration services connecting the UI to the H2F cloud environment, databases, and vendor-provided endpoints.
  • Implement middleware that enables interoperability with Army enterprise systems and potential future applications.
  • Ensure secure handling of authentication, authorization, data validation, and audit logging.
  • Work with data engineers to build secure data access layers, API gateways, and data services for analytics and insights.
  • Support transformation, filtering, and packaging of H2F data for dashboards, reports, and decision-support tools.
  • Ensure data flows are secure, traceable, and compliant with Army data governance policies.
  • Develop within a CI/CD pipeline with automated testing, static code analysis, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Follow DoW secure coding standards and participate in code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot issues across the stack and support environment-level testing and integration validation.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, and sprint reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with the Technical PM, cloud architects, cybersecurity specialists, and Human Performance SMEs.
  • Provide input to UI/UX design sessions and user story refinement.
  • Document interfaces, APIs, data mappings, and architecture diagrams as required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
