Overview
LMI is seeking a Product Owner to lead an agile team to develop software for Army customers conducting Army logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Interface with the customer and technical SMEs on the project to identify and track priorities for the team.
- Serve as a member of the Agile team responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the team.
- Ensures Stories meet the users’ needs and comply with the Definition of Done.
- Coordinates with other key stakeholders.
- Prepares for and participates in Program Increment planning, builds, edits, and maintains the team backlog during iteration execution, maintains proper flow of backlog items to user stories, collaborates with the team to detail stories with acceptance criteria and examples in the form of acceptance tests, works with the team to agree on accepted story completion, establishes capacity allocation to assist technical teams with decision making and sequencing of critical technological infrastructures to host new functionality, and participates in team demos.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8-10+ years’ experience, preferably in large DOD programs.
- Knowledge of Army Logistics
- Must be able to identify, define, analyze, prioritize, and refine requirements, communicating milestones and visions to the development team.
- Represent the customer with the ability to prioritize tradeoffs, clarify requirements, and work to drive user stories to acceptance throughout the Agile software development life cycle.
- Work directly with internal stakeholders, including senior staff and managers, with focused development teams to ensure successful translation of requirements into high-quality product deliverables.
- Understanding of technical solution architecture- diagrams.
- Education/Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of directly related experience with a Bachelors’ Degree in business, computer science, management information systems, engineering, or a related field preferred

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Retired Senior Army Logistics Officer or NCO highly preferred.
- Certified Scaled Agile Product Owner (PO).
- AWS Solution Architect certification.
- SAFe Architect certification.
- Knowledge of DODAF.
- Detailed understanding of Army logistics.
- Experience with agile project management and development in GitLab/JIRA.
- Understands HCD and user experience practices and principles.
- Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps.
- Understanding of software test procedures and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience as an expert consultant.
- Demonstrated leadership experience on technical projects and Agile teams.
