We are currently looking for an aspiring Accountant who wants to gain valuable experience in one of the UK’s fast growing healthtech companies. As Limbic’s Finance Consultant, you'll be coordinating and leading the day-to-day running of our financial operations.
What you’ll be doing at Limbic:
- Manage the day-to-day financial function and control of all finance-related operations whilst demonstrating a hands-on approach
- Post purchase invoices and maintain purchase ledger
- Raise sales invoices and maintain sales ledger
- Manage Creditors and Debtors
- Review and reconcile bank transactions
- Revenue recognition and reconciliation
- Monthly management reports
- Manage VAT submissions
- Manage and process payroll, including payments in the USA
- Comply with all financial policies and regulations
- Maintain Accruals and Prepayment Schedules
- Manage Cost Approval process
- Prepare information for CFO when requested (for example, to enable investor info request/reporting requirements to be met, for budgeting purposes, etc.)
- Prepare accounts for yearend close and liaise with statutory accountant for preparation of statutory accounts and tax returns
- Maintain calendarisation of finance tasks and SOP doc
- Answer financial questions, address concerns and provide support as required to team members
- Work with HR and Operations teams to standardise processes
- Ensure financial policies and procedures are in place and adhered to, promoting transparency and accountability
- Prepare quarterly and end of year financial reports for the Senior Leadership team and the Board of Directors
- Managing international finance operations with specific emphasis on the US markets is essential (we are expanding into the US)

- Proven experience as a stand-alone Finance Consultant or in a similar role in a startup or fast-paced environment (bonus points for an interest in health tech/mental health space.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Experience in developing and implementing financial strategies, financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Experience of managing the day-to-day finance function in a standalone role
- Knowledge of USA market regulations and tax implications
- Experience in reporting to investors
- Knowledge of different funding sources and structures and proven experience in revenue growth strategies
- Advanced financial modelling skills for scenario planning and decision making is essential
Work hours
This is a part-time position for 16 hours a week. No need for travelling to clients and working non-traditional hours and weekends.
Fees
£55 per hour

We would like to hear from Finance professionals passionate about our mission. You will be joining at a crucial time of expansion into the US market and have both strategic and hands on ability to own and manage the finance function. This role reports to the CEO.
Requirements
- ACCA qualification or a BA in finance, economics, business, accounting or a related major
- A certification with a financial industry regulatory authority is a bonus but not required
