Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Whiteley or Farnborough or Glasgow, with flexibility to work from home dependent on business demands

The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Infrastructure Engineer to join our UK team.
This entry-level position will primarily support our Communications and Collaboration services, including Microsoft 365 email, Teams, voice, Proofpoint, and SharePoint. The role is internal-facing and focuses on providing operational support and assisting with small-scale projects.
What will I be doing?
- Provide day-to-day support for collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint) and related services
- Respond to incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs, following established processes and runbooks
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as patching, updates, and basic configuration changes
- Support major incidents by gathering information and following guidance from senior engineers
- Help maintain accurate documentation and knowledge base articles for common issues and fixes
- Monitor system health and escalate potential issues to senior team members.
- Contribute to small project activities under supervision, such as mailbox migrations or Teams policy updates
- Learn and apply basic automation techniques (e.g., PowerShell scripts) to streamline repetitive tasks
- Ensure compliance with security and access control policies by following standard procedures
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders, providing updates on progress and outcomes
What does Leidos need from me?
- Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint) and willingness to learn more
- Awareness of email security concepts and phishing prevention
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to follow troubleshooting steps and escalate when needed
- Interest in scripting tools such as PowerShell for automation
- Good organisational skills to manage tasks and priorities effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a customer-focused approach
- Commitment to learning and continuous improvement

£32,600.00-£38,400.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
