Position Description

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Sales Director to join the Data Center Power and Control Division ZPE Systems Team in Northern and Western Europe. The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. This role requires experience in computer networking, out-of-band systems and/or Data centre infrastructure technologies.

The ideal candidate will have strong executive-level communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective business relationships with senior-level contacts, clients, and partners.

What Will You Do?

  • Direct selling to large and mid-sized enterprise accounts.
  • Acquire new accounts with a focus on Fortune 500 Data centre clients.
  • Meet with key customers and decision-makers to build effective relationships and support solution development.
  • Coordinate technical resources, channel managers, and partners to meet sales objectives and customer expectations.
  • Apply proactive selling strategies to increase market share, revenue growth, and profitability as defined by ZPE management.
  • Design, develop, refine, and execute business and marketing plans to maximise sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic goals across assigned accounts.
  • Support the Regional Channel Sales Manager in planning and developing joint performance objectives, financial targets, and key milestones for productive partner relationships.
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage customer accounts through excellent communication, both internally and externally, and by adhering strictly to channel rules of engagement.
  • Lead solution-development efforts to address end-user requirements, coordinating all necessary company and channel partner personnel.
  • Provide regular territory updates to management, including account status and performance indicators.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, ideally with a focus on Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ inside or outside sales experience in the information technology or data centre industry.
  • Enterprise account experience strongly preferred.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Strong project-management capabilities, including planning, organisation, and task coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively across multiple departments, including Finance, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
