About the Job:

We're looking for a Product Operations Lead to help our product organization run at its best. You'll report directly to our SVP of Product & Design and work at the intersection of product, engineering, design, sales, and customer success—making sure the right information reaches the right people at the right time, and that our teams can focus on building great software.

We have strong product and engineering teams, solid planning rhythms, and a release process that works. What we need is someone who can take what's working, make it better, fill in the gaps, and bring the operational rigor that helps a growing company keep shipping with speed and clarity as we scale. We need to person who keeps our product machine well-tuned and empowers everyone else do their best work.

This is a senior individual contributor role and our first dedicated Product Ops hire. You'll be building the function itself from scratch, but you'll be doing it within a product org that already has strong foundations. As we grow, you'll likely add one or two team members over the next year.

If you're the kind of person who sees friction in a process and can't help but smooth it out—and you believe AI should be doing the repetitive work that slows product teams down—this role was made for you.

Responsibilities:

Make the product development lifecycle run smoothly. We have a working process for how we plan, build, and ship. Your job is to make it better. Identify bottlenecks, streamline handoffs, improve the templates and rituals that teams rely on, and continuously raise the bar on how efficiently we turn customer needs into shipped software.

Be the connective tissue across the company. Help coordinate across Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success so that launches are well-communicated, feedback loops are tight, and nobody is surprised. You won't own every launch—PMs drive their own—but you'll own the process, tooling, and cross-functional coordination so they can do it well.

Strengthen our voice-of-customer systems. Work with PMs, Sales, Support, and CS to improve how we aggregate, synthesize, and route customer feedback. Help make sure our roadmap reflects what customers actually need by ensuring the signal is clear and accessible to the people making prioritization decisions.

Build the metrics and dashboards that make the work visible. Partner with product and analytics teams to define and track the operational KPIs that tell us whether our product machine is healthy—cycle times, launch effectiveness, adoption metrics, NPS trends. Give leaders the information they need to make good decisions.

Bring AI into everything. Identify and implement AI-powered tools and workflows that eliminate toil across the product org. Whether it's automating status rollups, synthesizing customer feedback at scale, or streamlining release coordination—if a human shouldn't be doing it manually, find a better way.

Enable our go-to-market teams. Work closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Marketing to make sure they have the product context, competitive intelligence, and launch materials they need to win enterprise deals. You're not building the sales deck—you're making sure the right information flows to the people who do.

About You:

  • 8 years of experience in product operations, program management, or a similar role in a B2B SaaS environment. You've seen what good looks like at scale.
  • A track record of improving how product teams work—not just running processes, but making them meaningfully better.
  • Deep cross-functional fluency. You can earn trust and drive alignment with engineers, designers, PMs, sales reps, and executives—without needing to own every outcome yourself.
  • A collaborative, enabling mindset. You thrive by making the people around you more effective, not by accumulating ownership.
  • Strong analytical chops. You're comfortable with data, dashboards, and using metrics to tell a story and drive action. SQL or BI tool experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with AI and automation tools. You don't just talk about AI—you've actually used it to make teams more productive.
  • Excellent communication skills. You can distill complexity into clarity, whether you're writing a launch brief or presenting to the exec team.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. This is a new function at a company that moves fast. You'll need to figure things out as you go and be energized by that.

Bonus Points

Experience in developer tools, DevOps, or infrastructure software. You understand how software gets built and released because you've been close to it.

Engineering background or technical degree. You can read a product spec and an architecture doc with equal comfort.

Familiarity with feature management, progressive delivery, or experimentation platforms.

Experience enabling enterprise sales teams with product positioning, competitive intel, or technical content.

Why This Role Matters

LaunchDarkly is at an inflection point. We're re-accelerating growth, expanding our platform, and building for an AI-native future. Our product organization is strong, and we want to keep it that way as we scale. This role exists to make sure our best people can do their best work—to reduce friction, improve visibility, and keep the distance between a customer need and a shipped solution as short as possible.

If that sounds like a puzzle worth solving, we'd love to hear from you.

LaunchDarkly is a Feature Management Platform that serves over 20 Trillion feature flags daily to help software teams build better software, faster. Feature flagging is an industry standard methodology of wrapping a new or risky section of code or infrastructure change with a flag. Each flag can easily be turned off independent of code deployment (aka ”dark launching”). LaunchDarkly has SDKs for all major web and mobile platforms.

At LaunchDarkly, we believe in the power of teams. We're building a team that is humble, open, collaborative, respectful and kind. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

The feature management platform powering the best software products

Our vision is to create a world in which software releases are safe and unceremonious. LaunchDarkly gives product delivery teams the safeguards to move fast without breaking things. We do this through feature flags.

Square, AMC, Intuit, Adidas, NBC, and other top organizations rely on LaunchDarkly to deliver and control their software. They ship code continuously, release features to individual customers at times that work best for them, learn about system performance and user behavior through experimentation, forge partnerships between developers and business stakeholders, and provide value in increasing measure.

In a software-centered world, control is one of your greatest assets. Feature management gives you that control, and LaunchDarkly gives you feature management in its highest form.

Unlock your developers’ full potential

Innovate faster but with control

Teams are under pressure to iterate faster and release features more often. Feature flags enable safe continuous delivery, allowing teams to accelerate their deployments while reducing risk.

LaunchDarkly's feature management platform gives you granular control over what your users experience so you can safely test in production, quickly get valuable feedback from your users, and ship more in less time.

Empowered product development

LaunchDarkly enables software engineers and non-engineers to collaborate more effectively on releases by giving everyone the visibility that they need.

Developers can ship code whenever they want. Operations can verify that features work in production and disable buggy code with one click. And product managers can enable functionality for specific customers at the perfect time. LaunchDarkly empowers customer-facing teams to play a bigger role in delivering software while taking the burden off of engineering teams.

Modernize in less time and with fewer surprises

Cloud migrations demand considerable resources and carry a great deal of risk. LaunchDarkly feature flags allow you to progressively move all your systems in a controlled manner. Confidently shift your on-premises application infrastructure to the cloud, move your data to a new data warehouse, and migrate to a microservices architecture.

Our company values

These are the values that guide our business, our product development, and our brand. These values represent our north star: they are the ideals we strive for and they will be reflected in the decisions we make and the way we conduct ourselves as employees of the company.

Build together, win together.

Our mission drives us. We work together with kindness, integrity and transparency, knowing all of our contributions are interconnected. We have big goals, and we can only accomplish them together.

Create customer champions.

We pride ourselves on being a beloved solution for developers. We are trusted partners for our customers. We strive to make them heroes. We achieve our mission by balancing the needs of all customers. We succeed when they succeed.

Learn and grow.

It’s okay to say, “I don't know…yet” because growing is what makes us better. We take ownership for continual improvement in the company and ourselves. We stay curious and experiment.

Widen the circle.

We deliberately seek out a diversity of perspectives to get better results. We create space and opportunities for each other. We listen with humility and respect. When we don’t get it right, we acknowledge our impact regardless of our intent.

Work impactfully, work sustainably.

We respect our work, each other, and ourselves. We take accountability for doing our best work and we perform at our best when we take care of ourselves. We’re all human and we’re in this together for the journey, not the sprint.
