About Language Trainers

The journey of Language Trainers began in 2004, born from the vision of its founder and CEO, Alexis Sheldon. With a rich background that included seven years of teaching English and five years in the sales and administration of language courses, Alexis identified a significant gap in the market. While most language training companies were confined to teaching a single language in a specific location, he envisioned a more flexible and global approach. His idea was to create a worldwide network of professional, native-speaking trainers who could provide personalized one-on-one and small group tuition for any language, in any location. This was complemented by a dedicated administrative and academic team working around the clock to seamlessly connect students with the perfect instructor for their needs.

This innovative model quickly proved successful. By 2005, just a year after its inception, Language Trainers had already catered to over 500 clients, offering courses in 13 different languages across 15 cities, primarily in the UK and Ireland. The company's expansion was rapid and strategic. In 2006, Language Trainers crossed the Atlantic to launch in the USA, followed by Australia in 2007. The following year, 2008, saw further expansion into Spain, Germany, and Brazil. The company's growth wasn't just geographical; it also embraced technological advancements, offering online language tutoring via Skype and other video conferencing technologies to learners globally. This commitment to accessibility and personalized learning has solidified Language Trainers' position as a leading provider in the language education industry, serving thousands of clients in over 100 cities across more than 10 countries in a single year and continually expanding its reach and services.
