Australia onlyAs a result of our growth in the federal government space, we are looking for several experienced NV1 cleared Senior Azure Cloud engineers with experience in migrations from on-prem to Azure and infrastructure/ devops. We are open to permanent employees or contractors. The role requires full time on-site attendance with our government client with offices across the main cities in Australia.
The role:
- Design, implement and optimise state-of-the-art technical solutions on Azure that address customer's requirements for migration scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
- Hands-on role planning, provisioning, and implementing Azure Migration and infrastructure services including security monitoring and management, leveraging CI/CD tools and pipelines for full build and management of infrastructure.
- Gather specifications and deliver solutions to our client, suggest value creation initiatives and implement industry best practices. Work effectively with external stakeholders & cross functional teams.
- Partner with Architects, Consultants and peers to jointly create functional design
specifications and Azure reference architectures.
- Work within a squad to perform reviews and contributions to migration
assessments, architecture and design deliverables as well as solution strategies.
- Play a key role in the build and optimisation of Azure workloads-provide
valuable contributions and transition to post implementation support.
- Support internal and external engineers to identify best practice configurations of
platforms and resulting workloads aligned to Microsoft frameworks (CAF)
The ideal candidate:
- Must have significant application migration, rehosting & replatforming experience in Azure, ideally with CAF.
- Azure Cloud expertise including IaaS/PaaS/SaaS
- Experience with Azure Services – Azure Migrate, Azure Management Groups, Log Analytics, Azure Subscription Management, Azure Monitor, Azure Portal, Azure Policy, Key Vault, RSV Backups, Role Based Access, Automation Accounts, Storage Accounts, Entra.
- Expertise in cloud migration techniques and workflows (on premise to Cloud)
- Infrastructure Automation experience - Azure DevOps, CICD, Configuration management, Ansible, Bash, Go, Python, Chef
- IaaC experience, including Terraform, PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Bicep
- Experience with Kubernetes (AKS)
- Azure Network design and configuration experience - Azure Firewall, NSGs, Routing, Private Endpoints, Virtual WAN
- Azure Security design and implementation experience - Azure IAM, RBAC, Defender for Cloud, Cloud identity.
- Azure Governance, Azure Application Infrastructure High Availability Design
- Open-Source technologies - Linux, Unix, OpenStack, Openshift
- Exposure to SQL, Application Gateway, High Availability, Load Balancing, VMWare, HyperV, SCOM & virtual applications
