Who You Are
Senior Manager/Manager, Research Operations, will cross functionally support the Nonclinical, Bioanalytical, Immunology, and Research and Early development teams to manage contracts, NDAs and MSAs. The Senior Manager will partner with both Finance, Legal, and cross functional teams to ensure timely communication of upcoming studies, changes to studies impacting cost, and assist in prioritizing key contracts. This role will also develop metrics and process tools to assist in collaboration with business partners.
How You Contribute
- Cross-functionally support the nonclinical, bioanalytical/immunology, and research and early development functions by:
- Management of contracts/contracts amendments
- Identify possible contact or operational risk/issues proactively
- Escalate issues and provide solutions
- Generate NDAs and MSAs with outside contractors
- Manage contract logistics including Ironclad maintenance
- Utilize effective negotiation skills and development of negotiation strategies across diverse relationships and contract agreements
- Proactively follow up with Legal/Finance teams to ensure contracts are routed and approved in an expedient manner and upcoming change orders are identified.
- Assist Finance/Legal in prioritizing contracts to be administered and forecast/planning
- Exceptional skills in relationship building, communication, project management, decision making and problems solving skills.
- Drive weekly meetings with Legal Operations
- Partner with nonclinical toxicology/pharmacology team to manage placement of studies and awarding contracts.
- Collaborate with nonclinical partners to establish study budget, contracts, and timelines.
- Develop metrics including QC data tables and figures and partner with all functions to develop process tools.
- Maintain formal archive of study reports
What You Bring to the Team
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree with 12 years of experience
- Masters degree with 8 years of experience
- Preferred experience in pharmaceutical industry and in contract management
- Preferred experience in working with or at contract research laboratories
Competencies
- Outstanding collaboration skills required, as this is an extensive matrix role with internal stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills are must.
- Experienced in drafting SOPs/Policies, QC’ing tables, figures, reports
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing targets
- Effective at multitasking
- Team player
