Position Overview

ThePalantir Developer will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining full-stack applications within Palantir Foundry. This position will be responsible for building data pipelines, back-end logic, and front-end user experiences that enable a new generation of AI-powered products across Kiewit.

You will work across multiple high-value Generative AI initiatives that are being built and enabled through Palantir Foundry and its Ontology, helping bring advanced AI capabilities into daily business workflows. These initiatives span core business functions such as procurement, engineering, and operations.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a deep sense of ownership and a collaborative mindset—comfortable working with executives, engineers, and data leaders alike to bring strategic data products to life.

Responsibilities

As a Palantir Developer, you'll operate like a technical product owner: building solutions, setting strategy with stakeholders, and ensuring your work delivers measurable business value.

Full-Stack Palantir Development

  • Design, build, and maintain full-stack solutions in Palantir Foundry, including data pipelines, back-end logic, and front-end user interfaces.
  • Develop robust and reusable components within Foundry’s Ontology framework to support data-driven and AI-enabled applications.
  • Build, test, and deploy scalable code using Palantir tools such as Code Workbooks, Object Types, Action Builders, and AIP integrations.

Generative AI Application Development

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of multiple Generative AI–enabled applications, leveraging Palantir Foundry and the Ontology to support intelligent decision-making across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with data architects and engineers to ensure the proper data structures, pipelines, and integrations are in place to support these products.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with key executive business stakeholders, the Data Strategy team, and the Foundational Data Management team to design and execute Palantir-enabled solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner directly with Palantir engineers to ensure best practices, scalability, and alignment with enterprise platform standards.
  • Engage in continuous dialogue with business users to gather feedback, refine functionality, and deliver improvements that enhance adoption and value.

Product Lifecycle & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop new product features and enhancements that improve user experience and functionality.
  • Maintain and iterate on existing Palantir applications, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability over time.
  • Contribute to internal documentation, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions to build a culture of technical excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience developing full-stack applications, ideally within Palantir Foundry or comparable enterprise platforms.
  • Strong coding proficiency in Python, SQL, and JavaScript/TypeScript, with experience in building and managing ETL pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ontology design, and API integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience building solutions with LLMs or GenAI technologies.
  • Contributions to AI/ML projects beyond feature engineering (model evaluation, problem decomposition, etc.)
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver in collaborative, fast-paced environments with multiple concurrent initiatives.

Base Compensation: $100,000/yr - $110,000/yr
