Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Data Platform Engineer to design, operate, and optimise enterprise data platforms in production environments. The role combines data integration, cloud engineering, and operational responsibility, with a strong focus on reliability, monitoring, and secure data flows.

• Location: Portugal (On-site availability for select projects required).

• Start date: Q2 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and/or Talend

• Integrate enterprise systems (SAP, APIs, databases, cloud services)

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data workflows

• Monitor data pipelines and resolve production incidents

• Ensure data quality, security, and auditability

• Collaborate with cloud, DevOps, and business teams

Requirements for the role

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform roles

• Strong experience with Azure Data Platform (ADF, Storage, Functions)

• Experience with Talend (Data Integration and/or Cloud)

• Strong SQL and Python skills

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Git)

• Experience working in production and operational environments

• Fluent in English

• Nice to Have

  • SAP integration experience

  • Experience in regulated industries (finance, energy, utilities)

  • Knowledge of data security and access control concepts

  • German language skills

• Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal
