Summary
As the lead member of our Data Science team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our cross-functional teams make business decisions that deliver exceptional user experiences through proactive and reliable analytical frameworks and insights. You'll be at the intersection of data science and operations, using rigorous analysis to understand how key business activities across marketing, product, and finance impact user behavior and business health, and identifying high-impact opportunities to improve operating efficiency across the board. Jobscan and our fleet of products. You'll measure marketing effectiveness, analyze user journey across product lifecycle, and quantify customer lifetime value, then translate these insights into actionable recommendations that drive meaningful improvements to business activities. This role offers the unique opportunity to be the thought partner to our executive team that helps shape the direction of our business towards an AI forward organization.
What you'll help us with:
- Design and maintain comprehensive business reporting frameworks that provide clear visibility into key performance indicators and trends
- Partner with Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operation teams to understand their data needs and translate business questions into analytical frameworks
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that enable self-service analytics across the organization.
- Identify emerging patterns in user behavior and business metrics that could inform strategic pivots or new opportunities
- Collaborate with our Engineering team to ensure data quality and accessibility for analysis
- Lead ad-hoc deep-dive analyses on critical business questions, from marketing optimizations, market opportunity sizing, financial forecasting, to user behavior monetization
- Present complex technical analyses and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including engineering leadership and executive teams
What will help you succeed here:
- 4+ years in data science, analytics engineering, or similar, ideally in a SaaS or consumer web environment
- Advanced SQL plus Python for analysis & scripting
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) and modern ELT/ETL tools (Fivetran, Stitch, dbt, Airflow)
- Experience designing A/B tests and applying statistical/causal inference methods
- Track record of building dashboards and telling stories with data for cross-functional stakeholders
- Proven self-starter who thrives in a scrappy, high-ownership startup culture - driving end-to-end analytics process from insights generation to recommendation adoption
