In this role, you will drive the design, scalability, and reliability of a high-impact cloud platform that supports critical real-world healthcare solutions. You’ll lead infrastructure innovation using AWS and Kubernetes, enhance CI/CD pipelines, and ensure compliance with industry security standards. Working alongside talented engineers, security experts, and data professionals, you’ll contribute to building a resilient, modern system architecture that enables rapid product delivery and growth. Accountabilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure leveraging AWS services (EKS, S3, IAM, etc.).
- Build and scale CI/CD systems using tools like CircleCI, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.
- Drive Infrastructure-as-Code best practices with Terraform and strengthen observability using DataDog and Honeycomb.
- Develop internal tools and platforms to improve engineering velocity and reliability.
- Provide mentorship and leadership across infrastructure initiatives and technical design.
- Oversee database infrastructure evolution to meet scaling and performance goals.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to maintain HITRUST, SOC 2, and HIPAA certification standards.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure system uptime and rapid incident response.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Platform Engineering roles, including 2+ years at a staff or lead level.
- Proven expertise in Kubernetes, AWS infrastructure management, and automation frameworks.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, CI/CD tools (CircleCI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD), and database management.
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and container orchestration.
- Demonstrated experience with monitoring and alerting tools (DataDog, Honeycomb) for production systems.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to align technical strategy with business objectives.
- Bonus skills: familiarity with regulated industries (healthcare, fintech), data infrastructure (BigQuery, dbt, Airflow), or scientific computing (Nextflow).
