This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff Full Stack GraphQL Engineer in United States.
This role offers the opportunity to design and implement scalable GraphQL solutions that drive dynamic, server-driven user interfaces across multiple platforms. You will lead the architectural strategy for frontend-backend integration, collaborating with mobile and web engineers to deliver seamless user experiences. The position involves hands-on coding, performance optimization, and mentoring of junior engineers to elevate team capabilities. You will contribute to platform-wide technical decisions, define schema models, and ensure reliability and scalability in a cloud-based environment. Ideal candidates are highly skilled full stack engineers with expertise in GraphQL, TypeScript, NodeJS, and cloud technologies, capable of balancing technical leadership with hands-on development in a fully remote setting.
Accountabilities:
- Architect, implement, and maintain GraphQL APIs to support dynamic UI schemas and content.
- Build backend services and tooling to enable server-driven UI across web and mobile platforms.
- Partner with frontend engineers to ensure smooth integration and rendering of UI components.
- Define, evolve, and maintain schema models and metadata for dynamic interface delivery.
- Optimize backend performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Contribute to technical strategy and architectural decisions for platform-wide UI solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, while participating in code reviews.
- Mentor and support junior developers, fostering a culture of feedback, growth, and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of professional experience in full stack or backend engineering roles.
- Strong expertise in GraphQL, including schema design, resolver logic, performance tuning, and federation (Apollo).
- Proficiency in NodeJS, TypeScript, and cloud technologies such as AWS DynamoDB, Lambda, Kinesis, Kafka, and microservices.
- Experience with SDUI (Server-Driven UI) concepts and dynamic rendering strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical updates and mentor team members effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills, collaboration abilities, and attention to high-quality coding standards.
