This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain nursing and healthcare education programs using both competency-based and concept-based frameworks. You will serve as a key architect of program blueprints, ensuring alignment with institutional goals, accreditation standards, and workforce needs. The position involves collaborating closely with faculty, subject matter experts, and industry partners to create measurable, learner-centered outcomes and guide course design and assessments. You will evaluate and improve existing programs, lead program mapping sessions, and translate complex standards into actionable educational strategies. Accountabilities:
- Design, implement, and coordinate operational aspects of nursing and healthcare programs, ensuring alignment with accreditation, regulatory standards, and workforce requirements.
- Lead KSAB (knowledge, skills, abilities, behaviors) and concept mapping sessions with faculty, SMEs, and employer advisory boards.
- Develop and maintain program blueprints that guide curriculum design, instructional content, and competency-based assessment strategies.
- Review and revise existing programs to address gaps, ensure compliance with updated accreditation standards, and align with labor market needs.
- Facilitate collaborative sessions and provide thought leadership on competency-based assessment (CBA) and concept-based education.
- Translate institutional goals, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards into clear, measurable learner outcomes.
- Provide documentation, training materials, and guidance to ensure program integrity throughout development, implementation, and continuous improvement cycles.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in nursing, education, instructional design, learning sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in nursing curriculum development, program design, accreditation, or assessment, with expertise in both concept-based frameworks and competency-based assessment (CBA).
- Proven experience in program blueprinting, mapping, and reviewing educational programs.
- Strong facilitation, documentation, and communication skills to align diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of accreditation standards, competency frameworks, concept-based curriculum, credit hour regulations, and curriculum governance structures.
- Ability to translate complex standards and frameworks into measurable, learner-centered outcomes.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and lead program improvement initiatives.
