We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer, Cloud to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions. In this role, you will work with modern technologies to enhance a large-scale SaaS platform that processes billions of messages daily, supporting users across multiple countries. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to integrate APIs, improve cloud architecture, and implement high-quality, maintainable code. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to key architectural decisions, work with emerging technologies, and directly impact the efficiency, security, and reliability of cloud-based medical solutions. Candidates should be proactive, versatile, and eager to shape both the technical direction and the team culture.
Accountabilities
- Design, implement, and maintain services and components for cloud-based platforms using Go, with flexibility to work in Python, Rust, Java, or C#/.NET.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and integrate APIs that support secure data sharing.
- Ensure high performance, scalability, uptime, and code quality through thoughtful design and unit-testable code.
- Participate in architectural and operational decision-making alongside the Architecture team.
- Build and improve internal tooling and APIs to enhance business and engineering processes.
- Document workflows, create diagrams, and model solution components to clarify designs.
- Engage in technical planning, code reviews, and agile development practices with distributed teams.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and recommend improvements to advance the platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong software development experience, preferably in Go, with willingness to learn additional languages as needed.
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, OOP, and building modular, unit-testable code.
- Experience with asynchronous messaging systems and backend processing jobs.
- Familiarity with Docker containers, container orchestration (Docker Swarm, ECS, Kubernetes), and microservices.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems in collaborative environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work asynchronously with distributed teams.
- Understanding of cloud architecture principles, scalability, maintainability, and monitoring.
- Preferred: experience with RESTful APIs, relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL), Test Driven Development (TDD), and agile environments.
