We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust backend services that power advanced access intelligence solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance systems, APIs, and microservices. You will be responsible for implementing features end-to-end, optimizing distributed systems, and ensuring system reliability. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of backend architectures, cloud platforms, and identity and access management (IAM) principles. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices architectures.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and security teams to implement scalable and reliable solutions.
- Optimize distributed systems, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and ensure high availability.
- Implement best practices in coding, testing, and documentation to maintain system quality and reliability.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions to support a collaborative engineering culture.
- Contribute to the planning and prioritization of features, ensuring alignment with product goals and timelines.
- Maintain awareness of emerging backend technologies and integrate improvements where appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of backend development experience with proficiency in languages such as Golang or Java.
- Strong experience with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and familiarity with IAM services.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching strategies, and scaling backend systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for conveying technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset with the ability to manage features from ideation through deployment.
