This role is a senior technical position within the Cloud Operations and Datacenter team, responsible for leading system architecture and cloud initiatives across enterprise infrastructure. You will serve as a key subject matter expert, providing guidance on cloud deployments, risk management, and Infrastructure as Code practices. The position includes advanced support for Azure, AWS, GCP, and associated data platforms, as well as building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automation and integration. The ideal candidate excels at problem-solving, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security of enterprise cloud environments. This position offers a hybrid work environment with opportunities to shape cloud strategy and modernize infrastructure at scale.
Accountabilities:
- Lead and provide technical expertise for cloud and datacenter infrastructure, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS deployments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools, including state management and automated deployments.
- Manage, support, and optimize cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Develop, maintain, and deploy microservices and automation workflows, such as Azure Logic Apps and Function Apps.
- Design and execute enterprise backup and disaster recovery strategies for cloud workloads.
- Analyze and approve complex system designs, perform risk assessments, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical input is included in design reviews and project planning.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and repositories (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps) to support development and deployment activities.
- Provide technical consulting, capacity planning, and resource recommendations to support business applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; or equivalent experience (8+ years in network or cloud administration).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud design, configuration, deployment, and administration.
- Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), and data platforms (Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure SQL).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with backup solutions (e.g., CommVault), hypervisors (e.g., VMware vSphere), DNS, and monitoring/logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus).
- Programming/scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Understanding of AI platforms and models, including AI Foundry, preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; capable of leading cross-functional projects.
