This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and maintain a FedRAMP-compliant SaaS platform, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure for a modern cloud-based product. The Platform Engineer will design and implement automation for software delivery, infrastructure orchestration, and internal platform services. You will collaborate with remote engineering teams, work with cutting-edge technologies like containers, serverless infrastructure, Kubernetes, and cloud services, and contribute to operational excellence. This position is ideal for someone with strong cloud and software engineering skills who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environments. Mentorship, documentation, and process improvement are also integral aspects of this role.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain code to automate public cloud infrastructure, software delivery pipelines, and internal platform services.
- Collaborate with remote engineers to build a secure and reliable cloud platform.
- Document system architecture, configurations, and operational processes to support distributed teams.
- Implement secure design principles and best practices for cloud infrastructure and software delivery.
- Optimize platform performance, reliability, and scalability using modern monitoring and observability tools.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and developer enablement.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate them into the platform to advance capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automating cloud infrastructure using Pulumi, Terraform, or similar tools.
- Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
- Broad experience with public cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
- Strong software engineering skills, including proficiency in at least one language (Go, Python, Java, C/C++).
- Experience building and supporting enterprise SaaS products with operational excellence in mind.
- Ability to scope and resolve complex technical problems independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of documenting technical concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with security best practices for cloud infrastructure.
- Proactive mindset with a bias toward action and collaboration.

- Prior FedRAMP or other compliance experience.
