Manager - Program, R&D PLM (US)

This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with a passion for digital transformation and product lifecycle management (PLM). You will lead initiatives to optimize recipe management, PLM workflows, and digital solutions across R&D operations, ensuring seamless integration with ERP and project management systems. The position involves managing a team of PLM specialists and analysts, supporting acquisitions and special projects, and driving innovation in systems and processes. You will serve as a subject matter expert, develop training materials, and foster collaboration across global teams. The role requires strong project management skills, cross-functional influence, and a focus on delivering high-impact results in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Remote candidates are considered, with up to 50% travel expected.

Accountabilities

• Lead high-complexity projects involving recipe management, including co-manufactured and international initiatives.
• Manage the R&D PLM Specialist Team and Global Markets PLM Analysts.
• Support ERP and PLM transformation initiatives, including gap analysis, system modernization, and integration with S4Hana.
• Oversee troubleshooting and continuous improvement of PLM workflows, processes, and systems.
• Develop, maintain, and deliver PLM training materials and facilitate ongoing education for R&D teams.
• Serve as the PLM subject matter expert for acquisitions, special projects, and system interdependencies.
• Foster innovation by introducing process and technological improvements to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field.
• 5+ years of experience with PLM systems as a user, workflow approver, and/or administrator.
• Knowledge of Speed to Market or equivalent stage gate processes and B2B/B2C product lines.
• 2+ years of line management experience.
• Experience leading multiple high-complexity projects in cross-functional environments.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Expertise in recipe management systems and integration with PLM, ERP, and project portfolio management processes.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, manage risks, and influence senior leadership.
• Preferred: Experience with PLM/ERP transformation, SAP PLM, and global market operations.
