This role offers the opportunity to lead the vision and execution of innovative hardware and IoT solutions for industrial and fleet operations. You will define multi-year product roadmaps, shape user experiences for both physical devices and software, and drive impactful outcomes across multiple teams. The position requires a strategic mindset, technical expertise in embedded systems, and the ability to balance competing priorities to deliver scalable, customer-centric solutions. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to ensure products meet high standards for functionality, reliability, and usability. Accountabilities:
- Own the vision, roadmap, and execution of hardware products and corresponding firmware capabilities.
- Deliver multi-year IoT device strategies that optimize fleet safety and telematics solutions.
- Lead new hardware initiatives from ideation through design, development, and launch, balancing technical trade-offs such as installation experience, compute, battery, and connectivity.
- Craft seamless user experiences for over 1 million+ deployed hardware devices.
- Collaborate across engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to ensure products exceed customer expectations.
- Communicate product vision effectively to executives and stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the organization.
- Maintain a customer-focused perspective, ensuring products solve real operational challenges and deliver measurable value.
Requirements
- 10+ years of product management experience with expertise in launching hardware products from concept to market.
- BA/BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience with the full hardware product development lifecycle and embedded systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, high EQ, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Curiosity and ability to understand new markets quickly, delivering customer-centric solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with comfort engaging with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Experience launching hardware products with volumes exceeding 100,000 units is a plus.
- Familiarity with Edge AI, telematics, GPS, low-power wireless technologies (BLE), camera technology, and automotive protocols (CAN, OBD-II, J1939) is desirable.
