German Speaking Senior - Full Stack Developer - Typescript - React - Next.js

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a German Speaking Senior Full-Stack Developer (TypeScript, React, Next.js, Python) in the European Union.

In this role, you will take full ownership of developing, deploying, and maintaining customer-facing applications that enhance online shopping experiences. You will work primarily on the backend while contributing to frontend features, collaborating closely with a small, highly skilled team. This position offers autonomy, hands-on coding opportunities, and the chance to shape architecture, APIs, and product features from scratch. You will also participate in automating deployments and infrastructure, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions. Your work will directly impact clients across marketing agencies and e-commerce companies, and you’ll grow your expertise in modern technologies such as TypeScript, React, Next.js, Python, and potentially Rust.

Accountabilities:

• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and applications using Python, Node.js, and SQL.
• Develop seamless frontend features with TypeScript, React, and Next.js to enhance user experience.
• Automate infrastructure and deployment pipelines using Docker and AWS (IaC and CI/CD).
• Shape system architecture, API design, and technical solutions with a backend-first focus.
• Troubleshoot production issues, monitor logs, and ensure application performance and reliability.
• Take ownership of tasks from design through to testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with a small, highly skilled remote team to continuously improve product and processes.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a full-stack developer with a backend focus.
• Strong backend experience in Node.js and SQL, with familiarity in Python and/or Rust.
• Frontend experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization (Docker).
• Proven track record delivering production-ready applications with architecture and system design knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with debugging, logging, and monitoring production systems.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, ownership mentality, and systematic approach to work.
• Fluent in English (C1-C2) and German is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related field.
• Additional experience with SEO, AI tools, or UI design is a plus.
