This role provides a unique opportunity to lead enterprise-scale Agile transformations, guiding portfolio management practices and cross-functional delivery initiatives. You will drive alignment between strategy and execution, ensuring that programs deliver measurable business outcomes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. As a key leader, you will establish and lead a Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE), coach teams, and partner closely with executives, product, and engineering leaders to optimize portfolio performance. The position combines strategic oversight with hands-on program management in a collaborative, high-impact environment. You will influence operational excellence across multiple teams, helping shape the way programs deliver value efficiently and predictably. Accountabilities:
- Lead and operationalize the Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) to drive enterprise-wide Agile adoption and delivery excellence.
- Embed Agile principles and Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) practices across multiple programs and teams, aligning work to strategic objectives.
- Manage portfolio governance, including strategic themes, investment prioritization, funding models, and outcome-based reporting.
- Facilitate portfolio ceremonies, decision-making forums, and strategic alignment sessions to ensure transparency and enterprise-wide collaboration.
- Identify, track, and resolve enterprise-level dependencies, risks, and impediments, coordinating across teams via Scrum of Scrums and other governance structures.
- Partner with product, business, finance, and technology leaders to optimize portfolio flow and resource allocation.
- Champion operational excellence, transparency, and continuous improvement across all program delivery processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required; SAFe SPC or SPCP certification required (RTE, POPM, or equivalent preferred).
- 8+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Release Train Engineer, or Lean Portfolio Manager in cross-functional, multi-team environments.
- 6+ years managing medium-to-large-scale Agile initiatives with complex technical dependencies.
- Proven experience establishing or leading a Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) or enterprise Agile transformation.
- Expertise with Agile management tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, modern software engineering practices, and DevOps principles.
- Experience implementing Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) within a SAFe environment.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with both technical and executive audiences.
- Strategic thinker with strong organizational change management capabilities, a growth mindset, and a focus on continuous improvement.
