DevOps Engineer II (Remote - Latam)

As a DevOps Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure for software development and delivery. You will collaborate closely with developers to implement CI/CD pipelines, automate operational processes, and ensure system performance and availability. This fully remote position provides flexibility and autonomy while working alongside a team of talented engineers. You will contribute to improving deployment efficiency, monitoring systems, and maintaining a secure, stable codebase. The role offers the opportunity to grow technically, gain hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms, and actively influence the quality of software operations. Your work will directly support the team in delivering seamless and high-quality software products.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage infrastructure, including servers, databases, networking, and storage systems, to support development, testing, and deployment.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, testing, and delivery of software.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and write scripts to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability, implementing proper logging practices for troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand their requirements and enable faster, smoother code deployment.
  • Maintain version control systems, ensuring a secure and up-to-date codebase.
  • Support Agile development practices and promote best practices in cloud infrastructure and DevOps.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, CloudFront, ECS, ECR, Lambda).
  • Strong proficiency with AWS CDK and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CDK).
  • Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines using tools such as CodeBuild, CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure Pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Cloudflare and web development, preferably JavaScript, for debugging.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification required; AWS Solutions Architect Certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile teams, excellent documentation, and communication skills.
  • Fluent English communication skills and full-time availability (40 hours/week).
  • Personal computer with stable internet connection.
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with Google Cloud, AWS Services like Route53, SNS, EKS, DynamoDB, and CodeStar.
