This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Databricks Architect / Cloud Data Architect in Latin America.
We are seeking an experienced Databricks Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud data platforms. In this role, you will define architecture standards, establish best practices for data pipelines, and ensure seamless integration across cloud ecosystems, data warehouses, and BI tools. You will mentor engineering teams, oversee architecture and code reviews, and evaluate new technologies to enhance platform performance. Accountabilities:
- Design and implement enterprise-level data architectures and pipelines using Databricks.
- Establish best practices for data ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics.
- Integrate Databricks with cloud ecosystems, data warehouses, and BI tools.
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are adhered to.
- Mentor engineers and lead architecture and code reviews to maintain quality standards.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to optimize the data platform.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of experience in data engineering or architecture roles.
- Proven experience designing large-scale Databricks or Spark-based solutions.
- Strong expertise in Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Spark, and distributed computing.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL design, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
- English level B2 or higher (conversational).
- Strong problem-solving, mentorship, and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
