We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Database Development Specialist to design, develop, and manage clinical study databases and cross-system interfaces in a remote, collaborative environment. This role involves building reliable clinical data solutions, supporting reporting and analytics, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and quality practices. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors, contributing to the success of clinical studies through accurate, efficient, and well-documented database processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in clinical database systems, and capable of mentoring junior team members while delivering high-quality data solutions that support critical healthcare outcomes. Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, document, test, and support clinical study databases and configuration of cross-system interfaces.
- Develop and maintain Clinical Reports, Clinical Data Transfers, and other study-related components.
- Partner as a clinical technical specialist in planning, designing, and implementing clinical applications.
- Provide technical consultation and task direction for external vendors.
- Mentor junior team members and provide actionable feedback to improve processes.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, milestones, and communicate progress effectively.
- Stay current on technologies, methods, industry standards, and best practices in clinical data management.
- Review and comply with Standard Operating Procedures and quality requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in clinical database development or clinical data management.
- Advanced proficiency with clinical electronic data capture (EDC) systems, such as Medidata Rave.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial management systems and related processes.
- Experience with SQL and advanced query development.
- Ability to work independently on larger projects with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory compliance, and quality requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience mentoring junior team members and providing technical guidance.
