We are seeking a Database Developer to design, maintain, and optimize database solutions that support internal and external applications. This role focuses on building reliable, high-performance database processes and providing technical support to front-end developers and business users. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, implement solutions, and improve existing processes. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, applies strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ensures that database systems meet performance, security, and usability standards. Accountabilities:
- Design and implement stable, efficient, and reliable database processes.
- Develop PL/SQL code, including Triggers, Procedures, Functions, and Materialized Views.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and business users to gather requirements and identify new features.
- Conduct functional testing and oversee deployment of database code through the development lifecycle.
- Provide technical support and data management assistance to internal users.
- Research, recommend, and implement new database products, protocols, and services.
- Ensure all database programs meet performance, security, and organizational standards.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in database development or administration.
- Strong knowledge of relational database management systems, PL/SQL, and database security practices.
- Experience with rapid application development platforms, preferably APEX.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret front-end user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive in staying up-to-date with emerging database technologies and industry best practices.
- Ability to train and provide guidance to other team members.
