In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize scalable data solutions that empower business decisions and analytics across the organization. You will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into actionable data products. The position combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic influence, offering opportunities to lead projects, mentor team members, and drive enterprise-wide data initiatives. Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and optimize robust data pipelines and ETL frameworks for analytics and reporting.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical solutions, serving as a liaison between business units and data teams.
- Develop enterprise-grade data models, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Looker, or Tableau.
- Promote data literacy and a self-service analytics culture across the organization.
- Establish and enforce best practices for data quality, integrity, and governance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and deliver high-impact data solutions.
- Mentor junior data engineers, share knowledge, and support project delegation as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with proven success leading complex data projects.
- Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with modern data pipeline tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, dbt, Airflow).
- Expertise in at least one BI platform (Power BI, Looker, Tableau), including dashboard development and semantic modeling.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred: Python or other scripting language proficiency, familiarity with CI/CD practices, and understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks.
