We're seeking a Senior Network Support Engineer to oversee and enhance our sophisticated network infrastructure, spanning from datacenters to millions of end-users across financial institutions. In this role, you'll manage network moves, upgrades, and incident resolution, troubleshoot complex wired and wireless connectivity issues, implement network optimizations, and ensure robust, high-performing connectivity across our organization.
Requirements
- Assist in maintaining and deploying multi-vendor high-availability network solutions to support enterprise and data centers environments, ensuring compliance with financial industry regulations and security standards.
- Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, Wireless Controllers (eg Cisco, Arista).
- Support the implementation of network protocols such BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, L3 VPNs, VxLAN, DMVPNs etc.
- Maintain and leverage network automation scripts using Python, Ansible to safely execute changes to production network devices.
- Provide support for the Wireless Environment across all Jack Henry locations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Security, Systems, and Operations, to deliver reliable and secure network services.
- Utilize existing SOPs to execute disaster recovery and business continuity exercises.
- Participate in capacity planning and network expansion projects, ensuring scalability and future proofing of the infrastructure to meet the growing needs of banks and credit unions.
- Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Regularly troubleshoot, resolve network issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation with other members of the team.
- Providing guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
