The position requires the ability to execute projects both independently and in conjunction with other consultants and partners, and to implement high-quality technical solutions based on industry best-practices and complex business and technical requirements.

Customer projects include new implementations, upgrades, health-checks, and tailored workshops/training.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to combine the need to meet and exceed customer expectations whilst operating within stated project parameters.

The Professional Services Consultant will be a key contributor to best practices and implementation standards along with the rest of the EMEA and wider Technical Services teams.

What You Will Be Doing:

Analysis & Design

  • Lead workshops to perform detailed requirements analysis, information gathering on client expectations and technical baselines for writing or technical review of Statements of Work and production of detailed requirements definitions
  • Assist in writing or validating the scope of work and technical assumptions of Statements of Work
  • Produce high quality, scalable designs based on functional requirements, customer environments and standards and current best practices

Build & Deploy

  • Perform consultation, implementation, testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer for billable engagements
  • Support customers with pilot and production implementation and rollout

Operate & Optimise

  • Lead customer handover workshops and orientation sessions
  • Perform health assessments of customer implementations and provide recommendations
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies and products, including attaining certifications and participation in industry events as appropriate
  • Lead customer technical / strategic alignment sessions.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Work with the Professional Services organisation to maintain both company and department goals
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of the Service Manager (ISM) solutions portfolio and specific practice area offerings
  • Conduct consulting engagements and deliver solutions in a timely and effective manner.
  • Assist in the development of Service Manager (ISM) service offerings, including definition of tasks, deliverables, and standard estimates
  • Help to document best practices in developing and deploying Service Manager (ISM) solutions, and feed them into our knowledge base for reuse by customers and partners
  • Provide regular update/reports to the both the project and account teams

To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have:

  • Strong in infrastructure architecture and design of complex Service Management solutions
  • Strong practical Windows systems administration skills.
  • Familiarity with Service Management concepts, processes and standards
  • Understanding of modern IT production data centre and hosting operations including virtualization and ideally cloud platforms
  • A good practical understanding of Web-based application delivery, including IIS server platforms
  • Experience with supporting technologies such as Load Balancing, DNS, Firewalls
  • Some scripting knowledge (VB, PowerShell, Javascript) useful
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • At least 10 years of previous consultancy experience
  • Completed ITIL certification would be beneficial
  • Due to the international reach of the role, the successful candidate is expected to speak fluent English and French. Any additional languages from the region would be a strong advantage, especially Italian and Spanish.
