Solution Architect

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join IT Labs and support a strategic fintech transformation initiative delivered in collaboration with a leading global consulting organization.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders in a highly regulated fintech environment, designing and leading modern data architectures that support analytics, regulatory reporting, operational intelligence, and scalable data-driven decision-making.

This is a high-visibility, client-facing architecture role requiring both strong technical depth and the ability to operate in enterprise-level governance environments.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end data platform architectures (batch & near real-time)

• Define scalable, secure, and compliant data models aligned with fintech regulatory requirements

• Lead architectural decisions around data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption layers

• Establish best practices for data governance, data quality, lineage, and metadata management

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure architecture is correctly implemented

• Act as the technical authority in client workshops and architecture discussions

• Provide guidance on cloud-native data platforms and modernization strategies

• Support performance optimization and scalability planning

• Ensure alignment with security and compliance standards

Required Experience

• 8+ years in Architecture roles

• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms

• Strong background in:

  • Data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)

  • ETL / ELT architectures

  • Data warehousing and lakehouse approaches

  • Data governance & compliance frameworks

• Experience working in financial services or regulated industries (highly preferred)

• Strong stakeholder communication skills (C-level & senior management exposure)

• Experience working in consulting or multi-client environments is a plus

Technical Expertise (One or More of the Following Stacks)

• Cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

• Modern data stack tools (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse, Redshift, etc.)

• Data orchestration tools (ADF, Airflow, etc.)

• SQL and Python proficiency

• CI/CD & infrastructure-as-code exposure (from architectural perspective)

• Available for occasional travel to the Netherlands
