Summary
Product Managers are leaders at IOG. They own a product from concept to delivery and adoption. As a PM you are responsible for understanding the market opportunity, defining a product that captures this opportunity and partnering with product marketing team to bring it to market. You are responsible for ensuring the product moves aggressively through all stages of its lifecycle. Working in a highly technical environment you are able to engage with engineering and research as peers.
You champion the external needs of the product and have a grasp of the ecosystem that is needed for market fit. You are driven to organise this in a working roadmap that reflects current and future engineering work. You will engage with customer, partners and external influencers to help drive awareness and adoption of your solution. In short, you are a leader with a bias for action who views your products success as your primary responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Drive product end to end from initial concept to launch, through to implementation.
- Market requirements establishing customer needs and the opportunity satisfying those needs.
- Requirements that reflect activities of competitors from a technical and business perspective.
- Collaboration with research to utilise their work and deliver requirements for future work.
- A product strategy that reflects current with developments in technology and business trends.
- Ecosystem mapping and relationships to ensure IOG goes to market with strong partners.
- A working product roadmap in Jira that reflects priorities used to plan and execute delivery.
- Customer and partner interviews and relationships that substantiate our underlying thesis.
- Collaboration and inputs to the product marketing process.
- Ownership of legal requirements in collaboration with internal counsel.
- Delivery of features that meet business expectations in terms of quality, function and schedule.
- Engage and contribute to Open Source Software communities.
- Collaboration across products on product roadmap integration points and dependencies.
- Write content including blogs, presentations and technical documentation where necessary.

- A keen interest in Blockchain and Cryptocurrency technology

- A positive outlook to help carry teams through difficult periods of delivery and seeking market fit
Qualifications
- Proven technical capabilities (Computer Science degree or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years experience working in software development
- Experience in product management, co-founder or related technical role.
- Experience collaborating with highly technical engineering, design and business teams.
- Experience developing blockchain or infrastructure technologies such as database or middleware
- Ideally, experience in finance or related field
