Description

Our client, a public sector organization located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is seeking a Senior Disaster Recovery Specialist for a six-month contract employment opportunity - with the ability to work remotely across Canada. The successful Senior Disaster Recovery Specialist candidate will have 7+ years of experience in IT, specifically in DR and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) initiatives, have a ABCP or CBCP certification, as well as experience in Lean, ADKAR.

Responsibilities

• Conduct BIA workshops
• Continuation of BIAs
• GAP Analysis on business requirements and technology capabilities
• SWOT analysis on capabilities and capacity
• Updating RTO’s and RPO’s with business units
• Risks and impacts to critical services
• Planning for IT continuity

Required Experience and Skills

• Completion of a University Degree, preferably in Computer Science
• 7 years’ experience in a Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity role in an Information Technology environment
• Experience in Lean, ADKAR
• Experience executing BIAs
• Excellent M365 skills
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Must have a Windows-based computer with standard Windows 10 applications
• Must possess own communication device
