Senior Manager, Process Safety, Global Corporate EHSS

FLEX LOCATION: BRAZIL, COLOMBIA, MEXICO OR PERU (fully remote work)

REPORTS TO: Global Director, Corporate Health, Safety, Security & Process Safety

The Senior Manager, Process Safety, is primarily responsible to mentor and support Global operations as needed to promote, develop and oversee implementation of the Ingredion Process Safety Management (PSM) improvement strategy. They will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating the implementation of this program focused on Management Systems, Engineering, Maintenance and Operations Practices to improve our processes, as well as facilitating improvement events and acting as an internal coach and auditor for the global PSM system.

Key Deliverables

  • Lead the implementation of the PSM program deployment initiative focused on Management Systems, Engineering, Maintenance and Operations practices
  • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, Key Performance Indicators, and processes to continuously improve data quality, process integrity, and productivity; Communicate the status and results of these activities to key partners
  • Lead and/or facilitate process improvement teams working on complex and cross-functional improvement efforts that deliver process safety improvements
  • Integrate the above efforts into other functional improvement initiatives such as Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Projects, Kaizen Events, IPS actions, etc.
  • Be recognized as a visible champion and expert resource for continuous improvement for the global Process Safety Management program
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating training materials and coordinate the training efforts for operational personnel; Deliver training for process improvement as required
  • Develop a data-driven culture of PSM for the global Operations
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams as well as site/functional leaders to identify initiatives and establish priorities based on business objectives
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with and between team members, plants, support functions, etc.
  • Maintain and continue to expand personal knowledge of Safety Health, Security & Process Safety Management principles and tools

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

  • Proven commitment to the promotion of a safe work environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in an operational, technical, or business role
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work with and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to cultivate positive relationships with and between team members, plants, support functions and functional groups.
  • Self-starter with strong leadership skills and a high degree of integrity.
  • Strong planning, organizing and time management skills.
  • Capable of leading and mentoring remotely on a regular basis
  • Capable of leading and sponsoring a data driven environment with an emphasis on statistics, process improvement, and data analysis.
  • Fluency in English is required (US)
  • Capable of facilitating and training operations personnel in PSM-related topics
  • Strong project management, presentation, communication, and coaching skills
  • Expand personal knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, IPS, and other CI methods and tools
