Job Description

Informa’s Group Privacy Team is responsible for the maintenance, execution and enforcement of the Group Privacy Maturity Programme including groupwide policy, guidance, standards and development for all teams and colleagues.

The team also leads privacy compliance support for the Global Support function, comprising of the HR, Finance, Corporate teams, and Informa’s B2B data management function IIRIS.

The team acts as a technical resource to the Informa Group, providing advice and assistance with the practical consequences of complying with relevant obligations, including interpretation of relevant laws, and guidance on the implementation of internal policies and procedures.

The Deputy Group Data Protection Officer (Deputy Group DPO) is responsible for supporting Informa’s Chief Privacy Offer in the design, implementation, and monitoring of the Group’s Privacy Governance Framework. The purpose of the Privacy Analyst role is to work alongside the Deputy Group DPO and the Group Privacy team to provide professional, efficient operationalisation of key initiatives of the Group’s Privacy Maturity Program and monitor compliance of the Global Support and IIRIS functions.

The Privacy Analyst will be required to demonstrate a good understanding of GDPR, CCPA and other key privacy legislation. They will support Group-wide projects and other initiatives to maintain a high standard of compliance resilience within the Group.

This role is suited to a data privacy professional with the ability to bring both legal and operational experience to their role. The successful candidate will need the ability to multi-task, and take a pragmatic, risk-based approach to data protection compliance and detailed approach to data privacy in a fast-paced commercial environment. Additionally, the successful candidate will be given opportunities for development and growth towards a Group Privacy Manager within the team.

Qualifications

  • A good level of understanding of global data protection laws and regulations and their implications on B2B operations.

  • Ability to interpret and apply data protection laws to business processes.

  • Experience conducting privacy impact assessments and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential data protection risks.

  • Experience in managing data subject rights requests, including access, rectification, erasure, and data portability.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience interacting with internal stakeholders, legal teams, and external regulatory bodies.

  • An understanding of key IT security principles and practices to ensure data protection measures are aligned with cybersecurity efforts.

  • Ability to evaluate and manage data protection compliance of third-party vendors and partners.

  • Familiarity with data privacy tools and technologies for monitoring, reporting, and managing compliance.

  • Meticulous attention to detail in reviewing processes, documentation, and data flows.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills to address emerging privacy challenges and incidents.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
