Job Description

Power BI Senior Developer – Semantic Models

Role Objective
To strengthen our Business Intelligence team, we are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer with expertise in semantic model creation. The primary mission will be to contribute to the migration of semantic cubes and fact tables within the Vaudoise Assurances Group.

Team Size: 10 people

Mission Objectives

  • Contribute to a digital transformation in the insurance sector
  • Build a Business Intelligence platform

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise in BI architecture (including security and performance) and migration-related topics
  • Migrate tabular cubes to semantic models
  • Create and secure Power BI Workspaces and Apps

Required Skills

  • Must Have:
    • Experience with Semantic Models (2 years)
    • Experience in migrating Tabular Cubes to Semantic Models (2 years)
    • Experience with star schema modeling (2 years)
    • Use of TMDL
  • Nice to Have:
    • Power BI deployment with Azure DevOps
    • Report development
    • Experience with SQL Server and/or Databricks

Education and Certifications

  • Seniority: Between 5 and 20 years
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science / Data Management

Soft Skills

  • Team spirit
  • Ability to argue and defend a point of view
  • Ability to estimate and provide visibility on one’s work

Languages: English required, French appreciated
Estimated Duration: Immediate availability, 12-month mission with possible extension
Workload: 80–100%
Work Location: Lausanne or 100% remote
