3D Generalist Artist

We are experiencing exciting growth and as such we are seeking a 3D Generalist Artist, preferably with a background in advertising or product visualization, who will be part of our Grip team! 

Grip supports brands to cope with the fast-accelerating challenge of the exponential grow and need for content. Grip is web-based software that automatically generates visual content. It’s based on photorealistic 3D, capitalizing on INDG’s twenty-year-long experience in that field. 3D is good because once your beer or your juicer or your rocket is on Grip, it can be used and re-used for multiple media: images, videos, iOS apps, and such.

Requirements

What will you be doing?

• Work on all facets of 3D pipeline on multiple projects with tight deadlines, includes basic modeling, texturing, lighting, liquid simulation, render management and basic compositing.
• Ability to quality control of tracking and matchmoving files.
• Integrate 3D elements in real live footage.
• Knowledgeable with V-ray for Lighting and Rendering.
• Excellent eye for image composition.
• Communicate effectively with team members, VFX supervisors and project managers.
• Troubleshoot and problem solve any technical issues that may arise
• Meet project deadlines and milestones
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies

Would be amazing if you:

• Adept in using the following software (3ds Max, Vray, Phoenix fd or similar simulation software, Tyflow or similar, After Effects or Nuke, Photoshop)
• Proven experience as a 3D generalist with a robust portfolio.
• Strong knowledge of shading, lighting and rendering, and good knowledge in liquid simulation.
• Familiar with the process of integrating 3D elements in live action footage.
• At least one working example that shows a strong sense of 3D, shading and lighting, and 3D element integration in real live footage.
• Experience creating 3D render passes from V-ray for compositing.
• Must be able to balance quality with the project's time frame.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Effective planning and prioritization of multiple tasks, with problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a critical eye for visual quality.
• Effective at taking direction, asking questions, and learning through observation.
• Quick learning ability for new processes and technology.
• Fluent in English.
